ASG argued that in view of the SLP in other three cases and the hearing fixed on 1-11-2013, the contempt petition should not be proceeded with until SC decision thereon. Our counsel pointed out that UOI has no intention of implementing CAT verdict and they are resorting to various piecemeal efforts by filing Writs/SLPs/Review to stall the same.

After due deliberations, the Bench decided to continue with the Contempt proceedings and issue Notice to the two alleged Contemnors and list the case for final decision on 27-11-2013. Thus, we have succeeded in thwarting UOI effort to pend the Contempt proceedings.
